This project was a major renovation to an existing home int he beautiful setting of the Belvedere Lagoon. The owners had been living in the home dreaming of a better connection between the indoors and outdoors. The design process started with the outdoors in the back yard with a new dock and a completely new yard design, including a new sea-wall, hot tub, deck and most importantly a new patio near the house. We designed a lightweight steel trellis above the patio for area heaters and outdoor lighting. We also designed a built-in barbecue and see-through fireplace which serves both the interior and exterior. Expansive sliding glass doors open full width and disappear into pockets, allowing the interior spaces to completely open up to the patio. We also removed a key wall between the remodeled kitchen and dining/living room that allows for better family living and for the whole first floor to enjoy the views of the lagoon. The project also included a redesign of the entry, with new mud room and powder room. Finally, the front of the house received a face lift with new windows, siding, garage door, fencing and a cleaned up roofline.
Completed in 2015.
